Buying a diaper changing station can be costly, specially in india,  and also in my opinion is a waste of space and also not safe after the baby is a year old. In my case I had developed a safe and comfortable diaper changing station which not only is easy on the budget but also saves a lot of time and is easy to make in any corner of the house. The materials are common house hold items. I have also attached some photographs. Things required:

1. Mattress, once folded
2. 2 thick bedsheets
3. 1 thin bedsheet
4. Plastic cover
5. Pillow
6. Baby wrap
7. Tray to keep all the necessary things for diaper changing

Steps:

1. Fold a commonly available cotton mattress in to two
2. Cover with a bedsheet
3. Roll out two thick bedsheets (e.g solapuri chaddar or blankets) into two rolls
4. Place a plastic/rubber sheet (bed protector) over it
5. Place a cotton wrap above the plastic sheet
6. Add a pillow for head rest

Contents of the diaper changing kit:

1. Diapers
2. Wrap with plastic sheet
3. Thermos with warm water
4. Cotton (I avoided using baby wipes)
5. Steel container
6. Handkerchief
7. Cloth to wipe after cleaning diaper area
8. Moisturizer
9. Dress to change while feeding
10. Powder puff
