DIY Activity 3: Shapes and colors

Slide1This is a fun way to make kids understand different colors and shapes.  As like my previous DIYactivity “colour box” this is a next step, wherein I have also added different shapes like circle, square, triangle, diamond, star, heart etc. This activity also improves fine motor skills.

You will need:

  1. An Empty Cardboard Box
  2. Straws
  3. Colored Craft paper
  4. Glue
  5. Scissors

How to make it:Slide2

  1. Cover the empty cardboard box with a white sheet.
  2. Cut out various colored craft paper in different shapes and color and paste it on the box
  3. Pierce holes in the center of the pasted colored craft paper so as the straw smoothly slides in.
  4. Cut out similar shape and color craft paper and tag it on the straws.
  5. Ask your toddler to insert the matching straw into the matching color on the box.
