DIY Activity 3: Shapes and colors
This is a fun way to make kids understand different colors and shapes. As like my previous DIYactivity “colour box” this is a next step, wherein I have also added different shapes like circle, square, triangle, diamond, star, heart etc. This activity also improves fine motor skills.
You will need:
- An Empty Cardboard Box
- Straws
- Colored Craft paper
- Glue
- Scissors
How to make it:
- Cover the empty cardboard box with a white sheet.
- Cut out various colored craft paper in different shapes and color and paste it on the box
- Pierce holes in the center of the pasted colored craft paper so as the straw smoothly slides in.
- Cut out similar shape and color craft paper and tag it on the straws.
- Ask your toddler to insert the matching straw into the matching color on the box.
